How to install your eSIM

Your Kesher Mobile eSIM arrives by email with a QR code and a manual activation code. It takes a few minutes to set up.

Before you start

  • Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. Check compatibility.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi while installing.
  • Install before you travel, but only turn the eSIM on when you arrive.
  • Keep your usual SIM switched on if you need texts for bank or login codes.
  • Each QR code can usually be installed only once, so don't delete the eSIM after installing.

iPhone

  1. 1Open Settings, then Mobile Service (or Mobile Data), then Add eSIM.
  2. 2Choose Use QR Code and scan the code from your Kesher Mobile email. If you're viewing the email on the same phone, tap Enter Details Manually and paste the activation code.
  3. 3Label the new line, for example "Travel".
  4. 4When you arrive, set the Travel line as your Mobile Data line and keep your usual line for calls and texts if you like.
  5. 5Go to Settings, Mobile Service, Travel, and turn on Data Roaming.

Android (Samsung, Google Pixel and others)

  1. 1Samsung: open Settings, Connections, SIM manager, then Add eSIM. Pixel: Settings, Network & internet, SIMs, then Add SIM / Download a SIM instead.
  2. 2Scan the QR code from your Kesher Mobile email, or choose Enter code and paste the activation code.
  3. 3Confirm the download and give the line a name such as "Travel".
  4. 4When you arrive, choose the Travel eSIM for mobile data.
  5. 5Turn on Roaming for the Travel eSIM.

Troubleshooting

No internet after arriving
Check data roaming is on for the eSIM and that it's selected as your mobile data line. Try switching Airplane mode on and off, or restarting your phone.
"Unable to activate eSIM" or the QR code won't scan
Make sure you're on Wi-Fi, then try the manual activation code instead. Don't keep retrying the same code many times.
